Rickshaws, taxis and hooting motorists add to the din and create that special atmosphere that Kathmandu is so famous for. Sightseeing includes the important Hindu temple complex of Pashupatinath on the banks of the Bagmati River is worth visiting, as is the ancient Buddhist stupa at Boudhnath, which is surrounded by gompas representing all four sects of Tibetan Buddhism and where crowds of many races circle clockwise, turning prayer wheels as they pass. In the afternoon, you visit the Durbar Square in the heart of the city. This is where the Kumari is. Many of Kathmandu’s most historic and important temples are located here. OR instead of Kathmandu Durbar square you can visit can drive to Patan Durbar square, once a beautiful city in its own right which rivaled Kathmandu in terms of the splendor of its temples and squares. Patan has more excellent architecture and has long been a centre of Newari craftsmanship.

In Nepal sometimes even the best laid plans can come unstuck for reasons beyond our control. Therefore the tour and trekking itinerary is subject to change without prior notice. On the chance that this does occur, a suitable replacement activity will be found.

" Dolma Treks covered all aspects of my dream trip: hotels, logistics, food, permits.
Tsering Lama is a very seasoned trip organizer and guide that knows the way things work locally, which means a hassle-free, pure joy adventure. I have traveled to Nepal 5 times so far, always with Dolma Treks. Have done a bit of everything: culture, trekking, yoga retreat, educational visits, rescue visits (Earthquake 2015). I have been solo, with friends, and even with my young son since he was 7. Everything was perfect, every single time.

I loved every second of my trips to Nepal and I simply can't wait to be back"
