Extraordinary adventures are going to be waiting for you over in Nepal, but you are not going to automatically have an amazing time unless you are aware of a few things. After all, this part of the world has massive mountains, cultures that have not changed in centuries, and a spiritual feeling that is embraced by locals and tourists alike. With so many things to know before you arrive in Nepal, you must do your research in order to be prepared. Here we have some tips to get the most out of your trip to Nepal.
Don’t worry, we did this research for you, so you do not need to spend hours on Google doing one search after the other! Instead, you can plan your trip carefully and then simply enjoy yourself once you arrive over there.

Take Passport Sized Photos of Yourself

This may sound strange, since your passport photo is on your passport, but you will need multiple copies of passport sized photos of yourself for multiple things when you are visiting Nepal. You will use one of these photos when you arrive at the airport and go to obtain your visa. Other photos may be required for trekking permits, a SIM card for your phone, and any other paperwork that you may be required to fill out. If you forget these photos, there are kiosks at the airport to take these photos in, but that will take you extra time when you arrive.

Best Time to Visit Nepal

While there is never truly a bad time to visit Nepal, you might enjoy your trip if you go between the months of April and June. It is during this time that the flowers are blooming, but you will need to contend with the intense heat. In fact, at this time of the year, it is not unusual for temperatures to reach one hundred- and four-degrees Fahrenheit. The summits of the mountains will be much cooler though, so you will want to be prepared for the change in temperature if you are trekking.
Most people prefer to skip the flowers and visit during the months of October through December instead. The rain of the year is mostly over, the temperatures have dropped, and it is easier to see when you are out trekking on the trails since the cloud cover is not as low.

Tamang Heritage Trail

Utilize a Guide for Your Trekking Trips

Since you will most likely be planning on going trekking when you are visiting Nepal, we must urge you to take a guide with you. Yes, you can trek along certain trails without a guide, but it is always best to have one if you are not familiar with the landscape and the weather conditions. The local guides will ensure that you have all the information you need while you are trekking, and they can help with almost any issue that may come up as well.

Be Vaccinated in Advance

As with many other foreign countries, you will want to be vaccinated prior to your arrival. This will ensure that you do not catch anything like typhoid, hepatitis, and cholera. It is also a good idea to get a round of antibiotics from your doctor in case you do get sick when you are over there.

Create Your Itinerary Prior to Leaving for Nepal

You will want to have an idea of what you are going to be doing and seeing when you are over in Nepal. While you could just wing it and see what happens when you arrive, it is always best to have a plan in place beforehand. This ensures that you can see and do as much as possible, especially if you plan on trekking for part of your trip and sightseeing for the rest.
A few places that you should have on your must-see itinerary include the Royal Chitwan National Park, Kathmandu Valley, Nagarkot hiking, Patan durbar square and Bhaktapur durbar square.

Consider a Unique Opportunity

Nepal is one of the few places where you can do a little yoga trekking or simply meditate almost anywhere you are. There are numerous yoga trekking tours, as well as meditation and spiritual yoga retreats, yoga tourism available in Nepal. You can choose from any of them and use this time to transform your life before you return home.
Other options include rafting on the Trishuli River and taking a flight to see the summit of Mount Everest from above.
These tips to get the most out of your trip to nepal will help you have the best experience when you are vacationing in Nepal. While you do not need to follow each tip exactly, you should at least use them as guidelines. This will ensure that you do not forget anything before your trip, or when you are in Nepal, because one forgotten thing can make the difference between an incredible trip and one that you will want to quickly forget.

There are dozens upon dozens of mountains within Nepal, which means that you have plenty of options when it comes to trekking in this part of the world. Although, with so many choices, you may be hesitant to choose a trek without doing a lot of research first. The reason for this is you may be wondering if the trek you are considering is worthy of your time. Well, we have created a list of the most popular treks in Nepal everyone must do once and we guarantee that each one is worth the hours you will spend up on the trails and mountains.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

A trek to the Annapurna Base Camp will take you ten days and the best times to tackle this trek are during the months of March through May and October through November. This trek is moderately difficult, so you may want to prepare yourself for something more than a leisurely stroll along a mountain trail in advance.
In order to travel the trail to the Annapurna Base Camp, you must have the required permits. However, the work to get those permits will be worthwhile when you see the views of the nearby peaks, as well as the surrounding valleys and villages.

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek

This base camp is at a slightly higher elevation than the one mentioned above, and the trail is known for being difficult to travel along. The best time to do the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is during the months of March through May and again from October through November. You must have permits to do this trek and you also need to be with at least one other trekker and a guide from Nepal.
This base camp is very secluded, and the entire journey will take you twenty days to complete. You will see some exotic wildlife within this high-mountain terrain, which will only add to the excitement of your entire journey.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

One of the easiest trekking trails is the Ghorepani Poon Hill and it will take you five days to complete this one. Despite the easy trail, you still must obtain the proper permits before heading out. The best time to do this trek is from March through May and then again between October and November.
We love doing this trek during the spring, because everything is starting to bloom within the rhododendron forest. You will also see growth in the terraced farmlands, but do not discount the beauty that can be found in the Gurung Villages as well. Once you reach the Annapurna Mountain range, you must wake up early one morning to see the sun rising over the mountains. It is a sight that should never be missed.

Annapurna Circuit Trek

This trekking destination should not be confused with the one of a similar name above. The Annapurna Circuit Trek is moderately difficult and will take you fourteen days to complete. The best times to do this trek is the same as all the treks above and you will need permits before heading out.
The terrain on this trek is constantly changing, so you must be careful and not let your guard down for a moment. You will not climb higher in elevation as quickly on this trek as you will in many of the others, so this is an excellent option if you have little experience with changes in altitude. As you pass through the valleys, alpine, and jungles, you will see the deepest gorge in the world. Annapurna Circuit Trek is the most popular treks in Nepal.

Everest Base Camp Trek

It should not be surprising that the Everest Base Camp Trek is the most popular trek of them all in Nepal. Most people are afraid to tackle the entire mountain, due to the extreme difficulty. However, many of them are willing to take a chance and get to this base camp. This trek is moderately difficult and will take you twelve days to complete once you have your permits in place.
You can do this base camp trek at any time of the year, but the best times are during all the months mentioned above. As you carefully traverse the trail, you will discover numerous Buddhist Monasteries and take the time to stop at the infamous Namche Bazaar.
These are the most popular treks in Nepal, and you must do them all at least once in your lifetime. Each one offers something slightly unique from all the others, so do not make the mistake of thinking that you can do one and be done. There is no right or wrong one to start with, so simply choose one from the list and mark them off as you go.

Whether you are an outdoor person, or you prefer a mix of the indoors and outside, you will find plenty of options over in Nepal. Plus, you can learn so much about Nepalese unique cultures, traditions, and the spirituality that the Himalayan Mountains are some of the reasons you must visit Nepal in 2020.

Reasons You Must Visit Nepal in 2020

Trekking

As the best trekking destination in the world, the most logical reason to visit Nepal in 2020 is to hit the trails and go trekking. There are hundreds of trails to choose from and many local guides that can take you out. If you are looking for the best options though, you should consider trekking to Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, the Langtang Valley, or Mustang Damodar Kunda.

Mustang Damodar Kunda

Delectable Cuisine

There are so many traditional dishes for you to try over in Nepal, but the dal bhat and momo are the two that you will definitely want to try soon after arriving. It is recommended that you make sure that all the food you eat is fresh and cooked thoroughly, but other than that, you can enjoy all the deliciousness that you can when you are in Nepal.

A Plethora of UNESCO World Heritage Site

You may think that there are only four different UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal, but there are really a few more. The reason for this is that one of the sites, Kathmandu Valley, has a few sites within it. A couple of the sites you will want to consider seeing include Patan Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Sagarmatha National Park, Chitwan National Park, and Lumbini. There are also a few other sites that may potentially become World Heritage Sites in the future.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Festival Options

There is always a celebration of some sort going on in Nepal, so as long as you are over there long enough, you will find a festival to attend. The good news is the locals love it when the tourists join in on the fun, because that allows them to share information on what is being celebrated.

The Cultures

Both Buddhist and Hindu cultures are prominent in Nepal and you can learn a lot about them both during your visit. The grand temples and smaller family shrines are part of Hinduism, as are many of the festivals that are held throughout the country. Most of the Buddhist areas will be higher up in the mountains, so you will be capable of exploring them when you are out trekking.

Shopping Adventures

Shopping over in Nepal is quite different than shopping in other parts of the world. Fair trade shops will have handicraft items, while more modern items can be found at Of Silk and Salt or the Local Project. The best shopping opportunities are over in Kathmandu or Pokhara though, so you may want to add one of those destinations to your itinerary if shopping is high up on your list during travel.

Museums Filled with History

There are not as many museums in Nepal as there are in Paris, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t check them out. The Patan Museum is the best and it is there that you will learn the most about the Kathmandu Valley. If you have a little extra time, you should also consider visiting the International Mountain Museum and the Taragaon Museum.

Affordable Options

When you choose to visit Nepal in 2020, you will find that your trip is more affordable than many other parts of the world. It is possible to spend fifty dollars a day or less in this country and that includes your accommodations.
Sport Adventures
Yes, you can spend most of your time trekking when you are in Nepal. However, that is not the only adventurous activity you can do during your visit. A few options that you should consider include white water rafting, zip-lining, bungee jumping, and paragliding.

Solitude

There are not too many places in the world where you can find solitude in so many different areas. However, in Nepal, you will find solitude and tranquility around almost every corner! You can spend time meditating or doing yoga when out on the trails, in one of the gardens, or at a local retreat. The options are almost endless, so plan on finding your Zen and returning home more relaxed than ever before.
These reasons are the ones that should have you booking your trip to Nepal in 2020 sooner than later, because they make it sound like this is a destination that is worth the journey. The best part though is that all these reasons are true and each one of them can resonate with a person. Therefore, you do not need to choose just one or two items on this list to persuade you to visit Nepal in 2020. Embrace them all and have the trip of a lifetime!

One of the best things you can do for yourself is to take a little time to wander around a spiritual destination like the Himalayas of Nepal. It should not be a surprise that this part of Nepal is known for its spiritual qualities, especially since there have been numerous pilgrimages, temples there over the years. Add in the multiple monasteries, and the tranquility you can find almost everywhere, and you can finally focus on your inner thoughts and what you want to be most important when you are there, transform your life by taking a spiritual trip to the Himalayas.
In case you are unaware, the Himalayas are said to be the home of Lord Shiva. These mountains are also considered to be where the God of Snow, or God Himavat, created the Hindu pantheon called the King of the Mountains. Upon arriving at the mystical Himalayas of Nepal, all your senses will become more aware.

Whether you find a fragrant garden or a little out of the way area from a trail, you can meditate at any time of the day. This will ensure that you have plenty of time to reflect on your past, present, and even your future.

Mountain Trekking

There is something about being out in nature that allows people to forget about all their stress and worries. As you are trekking along the trails, you can gaze out at all the valleys and nearby mountain peaks like Naar phu tilicho lake trek, Three passes trek, Tilicho lake Annapurna circuit trek, Dhaulagiri circuit trek, Rara lake trek, Ghorepani Poonhill trek, Mohare danda trek, Everest base camp Gokyo lakes Thame valley with 2 passes cho la pass renjo la pass, and highest peak of the world mount Everest.

Yoga has quickly become one of the most sought-after activities around the world. While you would think that many people would love to do a relaxing and exhilarating yoga session in a quiet room indoors, a few prefer the intense ambiance and atmosphere of the great outdoors. There could be multiple reasons for this, but a few include the peaceful sounds, aromas, and the extraordinary views that can be seen during and at the end of a session.
The Langtang Gosaikunda Trek happens to be the one trek that is the most accessible, while also holding spectacular surprises and even a few intriguing wonders.
If you have always wanted to reach the Everest Base Camp, but have hesitated because you wanted a special journey, this is the time to do it! Yoga and meditation will be a part of each of the eighteen days you are out on this trail trekking. During your journey, you will also visit many locals and see quite a few Buddhist Monasteries. The positive energy you will feel in many of the areas of the mountain will have you believing that this part of the world was created specifically for finding the true beauty of yourself, the mountains, and those around you.

Annapurna Circuit Trek

The Annapurna Circuit Trek is perfect for all types of trekkers, even if you are just beginning out on this type of journey. Your yoga trek will begin over on the Besisahar side and end within Kathmandu. In between yoga sessions, you will find yourself going through the magical mountains, conquering the deep gorge, exploring Buddhist villages, and seeing many different holy sites. If you are running low on energy, the town of Pokhara will be a welcomed sight with the magnificent Phewa Lake. This town is the perfect place to recharge, so feel free to spend a little extra time there focusing on your own needs and meditating as necessary.

Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek

The Kopra Ridge Yoga Trek normally takes eleven days to complete from start to finish. This yoga trek is not as busy as many of the others, so you won’t need to listen to the crowds of people just ahead or behind you. In between views of the mountains, you will see many terraced fields within the villages, as well as the lush green forest filled with animals. During this trek, you will continuously incorporate yoga into your walking. Therefore, you should be prepared to stop at any time to do an Asana or simply find a peaceful state of mind while looking out at breathtaking views.

Everest Monastery Yoga Trek

Ten days is all you will need to find your Zen during the Everest Monastery Yoga Trek. This area happens to be the most visited destination in the world, so the trail will be very well-traveled. You will trek through Sagarmatha National Park, as you practice yoga every single day. Once you reach the Namche Bazaar, you can stop at the Thame Buddhist Monastery, which is the oldest monastery within the Khumbu region. This is not the only monastery you will see during this trek, so be prepared to feel peace at both the Tengboche Buddhist Monastery and the Khumjung Monastery as well.

Panchase Yoga Trek

The Panchase Yoga Trek is one of the shorter yoga treks available, so it is perfect if you have never experienced anything like this before. There are plenty of open spaces for yoga classes, so be prepared for an impromptu stop on occasion. The lower elevation ensures that you won’t experience the altitude sickness you might on other trails. Your days will begin early in the morning, but only after you have received a solid eight hours of sleep the night before. You will alternate between trekking and performing yoga poses throughout the day before Pranayama and meditation before dinner.

It is much easier to plan the perfect yoga trek in Nepal nowadays, since there are many different yoga treks available. Simply choose the one that will fit your needs the most and then enjoy a journey that will have you feeling peace and tranquility for many weeks into the future.

Research on the destinations you want to explore

It is always a better idea to know about your destination prior to booking your trip. The precise, the better! Firstly, decide on the destinations that best suits your travel need. You might believe that with something like travel, it is adventurous to go spontaneous. But, adventure comes with consequences and sometimes the consequences are scary. On the other hand, a planned and an organized trip might not get fully accomplished but at least it is safer as compared to an unplanned or an unorganized one. So, a little bit of research won’t do any harm. There are lots of travel sites, online research materials and blogs from where you can decide on your destination. Also, travel experience of previous travelers helps you learn a lot about your destination. This way, you would have a very less chance of messing up your trip. In the context of Nepal, there are plenty of tourist destinations that might interest you. Pick a destination, do a detailed research and decide to set off for your journey.

Decide on your travel priorities

Travel priorities can range from adventure preference to historical ones. What you need to do is to plan out your whole trip in accordance to your travel priorities. Nepal is a versatile country with diverse options that best suits your travel needs. If you prefer adventure over comfort, opt for adventure sports like Bungee Jumping, Kayaking, Paragliding, Zip-Line, Canoeing, etc. If you want to traverse through the natural landscapes and serene beauty of Nepal, plan for a hike or a trek. Similarly, if culture and tradition is what interests you, historical walks can fit your needs. Sorting out your travel priorities saves lots of effort and prevents chaos. You won’t be doing what you don’t prefer and while being specific, you choose the best destination for your travel desires.

Find out the best time to visit your destination in Nepal

There are four seasons in the eastern world but Nepal has additional two seasons: rainy season and pre-winter season. The fluctuation in weather and seasons can both act as a trouble and a blessing. After you have planned on what kind of travel trip you look forward to, find out the best time to suit your travel activity. If you are planning to trek in Nepal, post-monsoon season (late September to November end) is the best time since the sky gets clear at this time of the year which makes it easier for travelers to view mountains and landscapes. However, the long days and warm weather of Spring( February end to late April) can also be an interesting time to explore the beauty of Nepal, trip to Nepal.

Travel safe with experienced travel agencies and guides

When you are done with your planning phase, make sure you choose an experienced travel company. Furthermore, spend a little more but only travel with an experienced travel or tour guide. You will save yourself from many hassles if you do so. You can travel freely feeling secure at the same time. Also, travel insurance is a plus point. Do not settle down for rip-off travel agents.

Get your documents, currency and necessary items ready

The final step to a satisfying journey is having your documents, currency and necessities ready before you set off. Pack your visa, passport, important documents and don’t forget the Nepalese currency (NRs.). In addition to these, be careful to exchange all the currency you’ve got before returning back. Nepalese currency is neither accepted nor exchanged in any country. Not only this, it is also a legal offence to have the currency with you after you leave Nepal.

Nepal is one of the most peaceful, beautiful and mesmerizing countries out there. The friendliness of the locals and the welcoming and warm vibe that they radiate is just unbelievable. Over the past 10 years, Nepal has enjoyed a growing fascination to visit from travelers all over the world. Nepal’s accommodation is a standout among the best on the planet, It is protected and it is totally not the same as most countries as far as vacationer well being. The travelers and the visitors always asked Is Nepal safe to travel? yes. here are the reasons which clear that Nepal is more safe then before, and one of the peaceful and happiest country in the world.

Nepal has a sense of security than most different nations around the world, conceivably because of the religious idea of the general population and their common generosity. In the course of recent years, Nepal has delighted in a developing interest to visit from explorers from everywhere throughout the world.

People in Nepal are entirely cordial. The Nepalese acknowledge that the travel industry is the backbone of the economy, and are extremely inviting. This applies to all segments and political gatherings. Venturing out to Nepal contains no more hazard than going in different spots of the world. In fact, as an explorer you are a lot more secure in Nepal than in some European nations and South American places as the risk of grabbing, pick taking, theft, assault and so on is very low in Nepal, nearly non-existent. All the real vacationer territories of Nepal are policed and watched and we have our very own part of visitor police to help voyagers and protect them should a circumstance emerge.

As Nepal is a country coming from lots of positive political changes in recent years, it is even more safe and stable to travel to than in the past. Reports for major crimes and threats against travelers and tourists have been non – existent.

The problem of load shedding and power cuts Nepal had has been totally reduced. Furthermore, all the hotels and most of the places have generators and inverter, so source of power/electricity is no problem in this country.

Telephones are available almost everywhere around the country, so communicating will be no problem. It is unlikely to lose your way while sightseeing and travelling because a guide is assigned by almost every travel agency to all tourists visiting this beautiful country. But in the worst case scenario of that happening, free WiFi is present in most places and you can easily find your way to your hotel using google maps.

Most people in Nepal have learnt and know the basics of the universal language English. So communicating with the locals will not be hard.

The disastrous earthquake in 2015 did some heavy damage to old monuments but most of them have been repaired or are being repaired. Many quality modern hotels have been left untouched by the earthquake, so there are plenty of establishments around the country to accommodate for tourists. Now, the tourism industry of Nepal is back to as it was before the earthquake. After welcoming astounding number of tourists in the year 2017 and 2018, Nepal is all set to excel in the tourism field one more time and is welcoming tourists with grand visit Nepal 2020.

What you will find in Nepal are occupied individuals approaching their lives as they generally have with huge smiles on their faces. You will see structures being recreated, sanctuaries being reestablished. You will see woodcarvers, potters and stone bricklayers at work more than ever. This is a transforming period of modification in Nepal. It’s when Nepal needs guests like never before. From numerous points of view, this year will be an extraordinary time to visit Nepal. Visit Nepal 2020 is another campaign that you would not want to miss this year. The government of Nepal is working hard to ensure a successful tourism period by 2020.

Nepal is a wonderful and safe country to visit. We are confident that no harm to your or your loved ones will happen in your journey here.

Everyone in Nepal will treat you with the utmost respect and welcome you with open hearts and arms. We will be honored by your visit to our country and help you understand our culture and ways. These are some of the answers to the questions Is Nepal safe to travel? Yes indeed Nepal is a safe place to travel.

Autumn brings the best of Nepal. The season sandwiched between the scorching hot summer and the chilling winter is best suitable for tourism in the country. The time between September to end of November signals the arrival of days with clear blue skies and picturesque natural light perfect to observe the natural beauty of this amazing Himalayan country. The autumn season also marks the celebration of major festivals and feasting as the Nepali people ready themselves for the unforgiving winter. As monsoon has passed, you will enjoy undisturbed transportation services to desired destinations and unhinged travel plans. Here is a list of things to do in autumn to enjoy your stay in Nepal during the autumn season.

Best time for trekking in Nepal

The best time for trekking in Nepal is the autumn season. The visibility is amazingly clear and bestows you the most surreal views of magnificent Himalayas. Off the beaten trekking trails are easily accessible and the risky terrains are somewhat subtle for safe and most enjoyable journeys. Meaning all official trekking routes are open for you to choose from – ranging from short and easy trekking such as Heritage trekkings, popular trekking routes in Annapurna region, Everest region, Langtang to challenging and unexplored areas of Khaptad, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, etc. You can plan for the more than dozens of newly introduced destinations of Mardi Himal, Khayel taal, Tsum valley, Upper Dolpo with Mustang, Mohare danda and so on. Options for solo travelers are also available whereas group travelers especially family and friends are also popular among foreigners and the local Nepali as they travel vacation trips to entertaining Poon Hill, Ghorepani, Ghandruk, Landruk, and the day-long hiking sites of Nagarkot to Changunarayan, Chisapni, Dhampus, Rara Lake Trek, Royal trek in Pokhara etc. You can always go for the peak climbing Mera Peak, Island peak, Lobuche, Yala peak, Tharpu chuli, or the gorgeous Ama Dablam to experience the thrill of climbing a real mountain for both the veterans as well as newbies in climbing sports. The locals will always welcome you with open arms, big smiles and warm hospitality.

Extreme sports

A Heli tour over the high Himalayas and towards the base camp is among the most sought extreme adventure sports in Nepal. You will have amazing views of the Himalayan ranges from the safety of the helicopter hovering over thousands of trekkers walking on the trails. White river rafting is also popular among the tourists, paddling and tearing through the chilling currents of the glacial rivers. Motorbike and mountain-bike ride adventures to the ancient villages of Manang and Mustang will remind you of the hollywood modern western style. You can chill out in the comfort of your respective hotels or take a step forward at the edge of the suspension bridge with a cord tied to your legs and jump off the 160 m high gorge at the Bhotekoshi river for the extreme bungee. Your wildest dream of flying with the birds will come true when you para glide in Pokhara and Kathmandu. An ultra-light flight is an easy way to capture the Himalayas from a very close range and ariel sightseeing of wonderful landscapes. And how about the ultimate skydiving from a helicopter at 7000 m facing the great Everest. Dropping real hot, spreading your arms and finally pull the cords of the parachute to safely land in the world’s top drop zone at Ama Dablam Base Camp. Very few activities will ever top this one.

Day tours

What a simple and easy way to understand local culture and people – through day tours. Usually, day tours can extend from one day to at least 4 days at max. The shortest day tour or one-day tour includes a mountain flight, short hike to the nearest hill station and a transcending visit to the popular historical and religious sites enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites in the capital city. You can extend a day to this tour and visit the other two major cities that are at par in artistic and rich history all the while preserves their unique features and values. It also includes a visit to popular religious shrines and temples.

Nagarkot- Chisapani and heritage sites tour is usually completed in three days. Pokhara tour is also suitable and in demand among the tourists, You can either take the tour of Pokhara solo or combined with Kathmandu valley tour along with a short trip to the nearest hill station at Sarangkot and World Peace Gumba.

Jungle Safaris

Nepal is a haven for wildlife and forest lovers. A perfect trip to wild adventure, you can enjoy nature, watch birds and wild animals, study and research rare plants, interact with local people residing in and around the protected areas. Some of the endangered species are well preserved and protected in the jungle. Fun fact, national parks, and conservation areas cover almost 20% of land in the country. There are nine different national parks, three wildlife reserves, six conservation areas and one hunting reserve. Chitwan National park, Bardiya National Park and Koshi tapu wildlife reserve are famous destinations for jungle safaris. These areas are covered with tropical forests that provide a home for diverse species of wild animals, birds, vegetation both native and migratory ones.

Jungle safari includes different modes of transportation of your choice from elephant back, jeep ride or the river canoe. You can also choose to try all three exclusively. Few enthusiasts choose to explore the jungle on foot, however, taking a certified guide with you is mandatory for jungle walks for the sake of the safety of the animals and plants. After pulsating safari, a tour of local villages and cultural dance performances will open up your mind towards the unique lifestyle and culture of natives in autumn season trek.

Explore old cities

Do not let the glitters of major cities fool you. There are hundreds of ancient alleys waiting for you to explore in Kathmandu valley alone. Explore old towns the likes of Tokha, Khokana, Kirtipur, Sankhu, Panauti, Dhulikhel located in the proximity of Kathmandu valley to understand deep-rooted cultural values that define indigenous people, their culture and traditions.
Beautiful villages

Yes, Namche Bazaar tops the list of the most beautiful villages in the high mountains. However, on the way to Everest base camp and Gokyo Lake, you will come across and pass several villages equally beautiful and uniquely featured with their own style of living and way of life. The only few things similar are the ever welcoming warm attitude and a big wide smile on the faces of the local people. These villages are located in some of the toughest terrains on the planet, above 2500 m altitude which only increases as you proceed on the trail. Populated with Sherpa communities, you can find lodges and tea houses run by the young women and old people as the strong young men are traveling with the mountaineers and trekkers as porters as well as the expert guides for the successful expeditions. You can also find handicraft stores and small shops in the market if you need to buy anything. The streets are covered with Tibetan chortens full of Buddhist prayers.

A visit to a Museum

At Namche, it is mandatory for you to take a day off for the acclimatization and rest for the tough journey ahead. Other than roaming around the bazaar, hiking the closest hill, you can count on the visit to the local Sherpa Culture museum to add some knowledge and ideas to the traditional Sherpa people. You will get to know the traditions of the local – ever-smiling, warm and strong Sherpas. You will also get the information on the historical events, the heroics of the Sherpas not less than any Superheroes adventures and full of actions in the deep even mind freezing coldness of the mountains. A visit to this museum will be more adventurous and exciting than the regular ones that you have ever been to.
